Alec's Olympics

Alec had two sporting successes this week -

a haircut

an airplane

And for that, he received MukMuk, a gift from our friend D., visiting from Vancouver. He had a sporting success, too.

Heart's Desire

On President's Day, we trekked up to Tomales Bay and spent the morning at the beach. The weather was glorious - misty in spots, but protected and sunny where we were. We build stick houses, sand castles, and just stared out at the calm water.

Bravo for long weekends!

Happy Valentine's Day

This morning Alec and I went to get croissants for Valentine's Day breakfast, giving N. a bit of time to sleep in.

After a good start to the day, we went to the awesome children's playground in Golden Gate Park and played. Playing is Alec's favorite activity. What does Alec do all day? What is his job? He plays!

Rai and Bernie met us there, and we all had rides on the carousel.

The jungle gym, slides, and sand play area are all great.

whoosh!

Then after running into grandma and grandpa here, we went home for lunch. Of course the most important food group on Valentine's Day is chocolate, so Alec had a chocolate lollypop from Grandma, followed by a chocolate covered caramel from his Valentine's day box from See's.

Then off to the pool with Papa to burn off some of that energy!
