So we're briefly back in SF from Quebec, and I wanted to show you some more photos of Alec enjoying himself in the cold. He loved playing in the snow, especially throwing snowballs and sliding around.
brrrrrr.....
We also went snowshoeing several times, pulling Alec on the sled. On the sled, he had the tendency to fall asleep, which was pretty funny, since he would slide down onto his back. You can see a little film that N. took in the earlier post.
He also got to know his grandparents' house very well, since he barely left it for two entire weeks. Pretty difficult for a California kid to be cooped up that long, but he had wonderful toys and playmates to keep him busy. Raymond, N's dad, made him a great little truck to ride on - he loved it!
These past few weeks it seems like he is developing rapidly - trying out new sounds, learning new things (pushing the chair next to the bookcase so that he can climb onto the chair and throw down the books and CDs from the higher shelves, closing doors, getting his shoes when he wants to go outside). Just as exciting, though, is that he is finally eating a bit more - foie gras and salmon, cheddar cheese, pears seem to be favorites. I'll leave you with a happy little man in his high chair:
